Plan a permitted way to obtain data and handle errors. This approach suits someone prepared to operate the tool as well as assess the deals.

For occasional purchases, start with saved search selections on the marketplaces. Open them with the relevant sorting, compare model, storage and condition, and keep a shortlist. It is a useful way to learn which faults and configurations appear within your budget.
This takes regular checking and works best with a narrow focus. The main cost is the time spent reviewing results again. When the number of searches grows, a ready-made bot or a custom monitor can reduce that manual work.
4. Local deals with inspection before payment
Searching in your own city lets you arrange an inspection and assess the actual device. The benefit can be fewer unknown costs: you can see the display, casing, battery condition and accessories before deciding. Travel and diagnostics still belong in the acquisition budget.
Value multi-device lots individually. An overall discount does not help if one unit needs an expensive repair. Keep a separate condition record, cost estimate and expected sale price for each device.
5. Preparation and a clear presentation
A clearly documented condition has value for the next buyer. A checked device, your own sharp photos, and an account of battery condition, repairs and accessories make comparison easier. Show the actual iPhone being sold, including its existing defects.
Cosmetic preparation or repairs should follow a cost calculation. Do not assume a new battery automatically adds a fixed premium: compare total costs with similar configurations. Learning one or two models first is easier than trying to value the entire range.

These are Ukrainian asking prices in UAH. Overall rows combine model variants; without the relevant filters, the sample may include new, locked or parts-only devices. Narrow storage and condition before assessing a used iPhone. A median does not establish a completed sale price.

Worked example: what is left after costs?
Use the iPhone 15 Pro median of UAH 26 000 as an illustrative sale-price target. Suppose the purchase costs UAH 22 000, delivery UAH 300, inspection UAH 500, and a possible repair reserve UAH 1 200. The total budget including the reserve is UAH 24 000.

A sale at the illustrative target would leave UAH 2 000 before fees, taxes, tools and returns. This is a worked scenario, not an actual deal or net profit. A sale at UAH 24 000 would leave no difference against that budget.
The buy-threshold formula is expected sale price minus all costs and reserve minus your desired spread. Use the median to test the starting assumption, rather than as a guarantee of a future sale price.
Before buying: condition and marketplace rules

Model variants are combined by default. For at least 8 prices, the 1.5 × IQR rule applies if at least 3 values remain; amounts are rounded to the nearest hryvnia.
